A large village with 5,015 inhabitants 8 km south of Szentes. It has the richest collection of monuments of folk architecture in county Csongrád. The salt house of the 18th century is now a village museum. The restored windmill of the village is open to the public and it houses exhibitions, too. The mansion-like building of the former Baroque county hall is empty waiting to be restored. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is from the 18th century. The Baroque Roman Catholic church was built in 1737, the tower is from 1753. The village is rich in waters and it is ideal for fishing.
