in Pénzesgyőr:   Hotel - Sight - Business Travel

Village with only 367 inhabitants 10 km west of Zirc in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Northern-Bakony. The village is called the centre of horse-breeding in the Bakony Mountains having international reputation. Dr. Antal Rumprecht lived here, who introduced the Pan-European idea in Hungary (4 July 1926). The community centre of the village was named after poet Mihály Vörösmarty, who had good connections with those living in the monastery. Tourists are attracted by the excellent excursion places nearby - Szömörke Valley, the caves of Som Hill - and the rare rocks of the neighbourhood abounding with spring water. Accommodation with pleasant relaxation is offered in eight new wooden houses run by the local council.
