The study trail presents the special natural values of the region. In the north of the landscape protection area you can see beautiful withering marshy meadows, where you can also see the typical species of the black bog-rush fens and moor grass. The typical protected plants include various orchid species such as the marsh orchis, the green-winged orchid or the bug orchis. On the higher sandy ridges you can see beautiful steppe meadows with feather-grass.
Two rare butterfly species such as the the large copper butterfly and the willowherb hawk-moth can also be found here. 177 protected bird species live in the landscape protection area, 97 of which are known to nest here. The species such as the black stork, the short-eared owl, the bald eagle and the northern harrier are extremely significant. The white stork, the great egret, the saker and the imperial eager come here to feed. Rare species which also nest here include the lesser gray shrike, the hobby, the red-footed falcon, the sparrow owl and the common barn owl.
