A 1,5 ha protected area, where relics from the early stage of the evolution into Man were found. The scientific research of the territory started in 1960 and several dozens man-ape and other fossils were excavated. In the Ore and Mineral mining Museum of Rudabánya, in the exhibition hall named after Aladár Földvári you can see Rudapitecus Hungaricus, the prehistoric man living 5-6 million years ago.
The territory is not open to the public.
