Other information:

Mende, a small village of excellent climate, taking shelter among nearby hills, is accessible from national highways No. 31 and 4 or by rail from Keleti Station, Budapest. On Whitsuntide Sunday and Monday a may-pole is erected in the Lutheran church with a picturesque show of folk culture. Connected to the church holiday a real village feast, market and evening ball are organized on the first Sunday of August every year.
