The theatre attracts more and more spectators with its various plays and music performances all year round. The building of the theatre - like the building of Dezső Laczkó Museum - was designed by István Medgyaszai, who applied the most modern building technique of his period, the reinforced concrete structure. The facade of the Seccessionist building is decorated with the picture depicting the story of Hunor and Magor with the deer by Sándor Nagy, an outstanding artist of the Gödöllő colony. The oval glass window was also designed by Sándor Nagy, while the bronze statue of poet Petőfi is by László Marton.
