Other information:
The territory of the Ócsa Landscape Protection Area is situated south of Budapest, at the meeting point of the Great Plain and the Gödöllő hills and it has preserved a piece of the marshy, swampy wetlands which were so typical of the Great Hungarian Plain. Apart from the richness of natural beauties, this region has also preserved a lot of cultural traditions and architectural heritage. You can enjoy this if you visit the House of Regional Traditions, which can be found in the centre of the old village, right next to the church from the age of Árpád. In the dwelling house the personal belongings, the tools, the clothes and the furniture, which were mainly collected locally, present the everyday life of the people living in Ócsa one hundred, two hundred years ago. In the auxiliary buildings and in the courtyard you can see farming tools.
In handicrafts workshops you can even try to learn some simple folk crafts techniques.
