The so-called "Contemporary collection" on the second floor of the former Baroque county hall focuses on the new Hungarian arts trends following the period of socialist realism, from the artists of "classical" avant-garde working in the 50s and 60s (Lili Ország, Korniss, Bálint) through the first generation of the neo-avant-garde occuring in parallel with them (Imre Bak, János Fajó, István Nádler)to the really contemporary, new achievements (e.g. Miklós Erdélyi, György Jovánovics, Árpád Szabados).
