Other information:

The "eagle peak" steeply emerging from the lowland of Kelenföld is 259 m high. Eagle hill still preserves the relics of the ancient wildlife. The fauna and flora of this small area surrounded by the city is extremely rich. Its greatest values are the endemic plant species growing on the dolomite hills of the Carpathian basin exclusively such as the dolomite seseli, the fragrant cottage pink, the Hungarian blue grass. It also has a rich fauna with rare insect and spider species. Significant reptile species such as the European cooper skink and the large whip snake also live here. The hill is the natural habitat for as many as fifty bird species, twenty of which also nest in the territory.
Apart from the wildlife the sights of the area also include the romantic landscape of the eagle hill with its special geological formations. Looking around from the top of the hill you can enjoy the most beautiful panorama of the capital city and in clear weather you can see as far as the church of Fót and the Naszály hills of Vác. Rarely you can even see the Mátra and the Bükk hills lying far away.
