A village near the border with 824 inhabitants. Its location is favourable. It is situated 10 km from Bükfürdő, 16 km from Kőszeg, 31 km from Szombathely and only 36 km from Sopron. Apart from being situated near important resorts, it is becoming a popular tourist centre itself. The main road of village leads to the Austrian border, with Locsmánd on the other side, where an impressive fun bath was built a few years ago. The bath is open all year round. You can cross the border from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in winter and spring. The village offers high quality accommodation and catering. The neighbourhood is ideal for the lovers of cycling with various routes. A 10km bicycle road has been built between Bük, Zsira and Locsmánd. There is a Telehouse in the village. Sights include the mansion serving as an old people's home and the church built in the 1200s.
