Village with 2,700 inhabitants at the Danube Bend, on the left bank. The hanging garden type building of the riverbank according to plans by Miklós Ybl is unparalelled. Sights include the Baroque Migazzi mansion (1764) now used as an old peopleŚs home managed by the church; the Gorka Géza Memorial Museum, commemorating the fifty years the famous ceramist spent here; the Baroque Catholic church (1736-1743); the Calvinist church of Louis XVI. style (1785); and the remains of a Roman abutment and a watch-tower on the riverside. Kompkötő Island is a nature conservation area. Ruins of a Romanesque church of the 13th century in Magyarkút in the vicinity.
