Large village with 1,956 inhabitants in the region called Ormánság. The Roman Catholic church and the Baroque Calvinist church were built in 1779 and 1785 respectively. The oeuvre of the author and a Woods and Forests Office are displayed in the János Kodolányi Memorial Museum.
