in Tuzsér:   Hotel - Travel Service

Large village with 3,450 inhabitants in the north-east of Hungary in Nyírség, 8 km southwest of Záhony (national highway No. 4). The former Baroque-style Lónyay mansion was built in the 18th century. The paintings on the walls and on the ceiling were made by Mihály Wurtzinger. The extension of the mansion was designed by Miklós Ybl. A French park belongs to the mansion with beautiful oak, maple, lime trees, catalpas, chestnut and ash trees. The Protestant church was built between 1808 and 1826, originally with a shingle roof, and it was continuously being rebuilt until the middle of the 19th century. The beauty and the clean air on the bank of the river Tisza increases the attraction of the place.
