Village with 951 inhabitants on the bank of river Tisza, a border crossing place to Ukraine. On 14th July, 1703, Prince Rákóczi's troops crossed the river at this place. The monument of this historic event was erected in front of the Catholic church built in 1907. The poet Lőrinc Szabó passed his summers from 1908 to 1918 at this village, a commemorative tablet was installed on the wall of the primary school. The open-air bath is usual starting point of water trips on the Tisza.
