Village with 1,227 inhabitants on the northern part of the Bükk Mountains, in picturesque environment. After the defeat of the War of Independence the author Mór Jókai was hiding here. There is a memorial room in the House of Regional Traditions to commemorate those days. Exhibitions on the flora and fauna of the Bükk in the building. Calvinist church (1890).
