Village with 4,200 inhabitants on the right bank of the Danube and on Szentrendrei Island. Accessible from Szentendre or Visegrád on road No. 11 or from Vác by the ferry. Mihály Pollack, the most significant representative of neo-Classical architecture in Hungary built his vintage wine-press and holiday house in the village. Both can be found in Pataksor Street. The romantic tomb of Pollack, the work of Miklós Ybl, is put up in the Catholic cemetery. Both the Calvinist and the Catholic church were built in neo-Classical style. The Kecskesziget and its environment are protected natural treasures, parts of the Duna-Ipoly National Park. There are popular tourist roads on the 500-600 metres high hills in the neighbourhood of the village (e.g. Vöröskő).
