The village lies in South-Dunántúl, 50 km of Kaposvár and 10 km of Barcs. Count István Széchenyi settled Germans from Württemberg in the village in the first half of the 18th century, and the village has preserved its German nationality since that time. The village tourism of Szulok is already prepared to welcome the visitors. The German knowledge, hospitality, calm environment and the services offerred make the village attractive to tourists. The thermal bath of the village with thermal waters and the camping-site established next to it are open for guests from May 1st till October 31st. Joyriding in the woods, riding, sporting and angling facilities, goulash party, museum of the nationalities and traditional performances await the visitors. Outstanding events: in February ball of ethnic Germans, on the first Saturday of August Village Day and coach driving championship, on 28th October patronal festival. |
