Village with more than 4,000 inhabitants in the north of county Pest, 30 km from Budapest. Originally it belonged to the village of Sződ and it became populated early in history. It isproved by the archaelogical finding from the Stone Age, which was found near the former Fishing-farm in Sződliget. It was separated administratively from Sződ on the 1st of January 1950 and it became a village with an independent council on the 1st of October 1950. An important industrial monument is the mill of the Paulites from Pilis on the Danube, which was working as early as in 1458 near the village. |
