The village is by road 7, west to Nagykanizsa, and it has a population of 982. Its first mentioning is from the Anjou era, but because of being close to the castle of Kanizsa it was completely demolished in the Turkish wars. Its church was built in Baroque style at the turn of the 18-19th c. Next to the village there is a new recreational park, called Magic Land, which was opened in 2000. Every year there is a village festival and a harvest ceremony, of course in September.
