The village of 808 inhabitants is situated 15 km east of Kaposvár, along the main road No. 67. It was mentioned in records in 1437 under the name Azalo. The north-east of Lake Deseda is near the village offering fishing and boating. In the Deseda wood, rich in big game, you can find the closed well of a thermal spring.
