in Somlójenő:   Hotel

Small village southwest of Somló hill, lying in the area between national highway 8 and brook Torna. Significant wine-growing settlement of Somló region with only 315 inhabitants. Former inhabitants and landlords of the village had been castle-serves descended from Jenő tribe (conquerors of Hungary) and serving the King with compulsory soldiering. From medieval times till the liberation of villeins it was under the authority of the bishop of Győr, and its population consisted of nobles owning only one hide of land. Church of the village is first mentioned in 1573. Squat tower and multangular sanctuary of the Roman Catholic church still standing in the village, indicate medieval origin.
