Town with 14,200 inhabitants in the valley of the river Sajó, 11 km from Miskolc, 5 km from Kazincbarcika. The late Gothic Calvinist church is from the 15th century, the chorus and the pulpit is Baroque, the door and the window of the sacristy is from the 1510s, the coffered ceiling is from 1775. Listed monuments: the XVI. Louis style Roman Catholic church from 1762, the Classicist Gedeon mansion from 1820, the native house of József Lévay - poet and translator of literary works -, and the House of Regional Traditions from the beginning of the 18th century.
