Large village with 3,138 inhabitants north of Kazincbarcika. The originally 14th century Gothic Calvinist church was subsequently rebuilt in a three-aisled layout. An old wooden belfry was integrated in the belfry built in 1894. The history of mining is displayed in the Museum of Ore and Mineral Mining. Fossilized life of some 8-10 million years have been reconstructed in the paleolontological site.
