Village with 2,565 inhabitants south of the Győr-Sopron road on the river Rába. As part of the Kisalföld, it is situated in the east of Rábaköz. It is an ancient Pecheneg settlement, its history goes back to 1253. You can see a 200-year-old church to the left of the city centre. In the western part of the village, along the river Rába you can find a greyhound race ground, a campsite and sport centre meeting international standards. An exhibition of local history presents the life-style of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the beginning of the 20th century in the village centre. The promenade between the river bed and the forest on the inundation area and the surroundings of the bridge over the Rába are ideal beauty spots.
