A little village by road 55, between Baja and Bátaszék, 5 km from the Danube-bridge, on the edge of the Danube-Drava National Park.

It is a new settlement formed after the Great War by moving together the scattered inhabitants of the lowland plain. The main attraction is the forest of Gemenc, which is famous for its beautiful landscape and great stock of game. There is a narrow-gauge railway starting from the village, which coils among the trees for 36 km until it arrives at Bárányfok Excursion Centre, which is an ideal place for recreation.
