The village is situated 6 km from Vasvár. On its vineyard you can see monument press houses with thatched roofs and beamed walls. From here you can take a short walk to get to Jeli Botanical Garden. It has been inhabited since the ancient times, near the village stone axes and Roman crockery were found. It was first mentioned in records in 1217 under the present name, the origin of which is explained in different ways. The church and the parish were one of the first built in the neighbourhood. It is famous for a painting by István Dorfmeister. Today the village has 700 inhabitants. It has a supermarket, a post office and several restaurants. There is a regular bus service from Vasvár to the village.
