Village with 450 inhabitants at the eastern foot of the hills of Velence, point of departure for excursions in the hill-country. The obelisk in the vicinity is the geodetic point of reference for altimetry (called the "ancient mark of Nadap"), an elevation of 173.8 m above sea level. Mihály Vörösmarty was christened in the Roman Catholic church of the village, his christening basin is accessible to the public today.
