A village with 2,800 inhabitants in the region called Hegyalja. Most of its territory is covered by wood suitable for hunting and hiking. The view of the countryside around Mád is unique. Its wine-making and its cellars are world-famous. The Roman Catholic church and the parish, the Protestant church, the synagogue, and several monument buildings are important sights. The inhabitants deal with wine-making and mining of minerals to earn their living.
