Town with nearly 29,000 inhabitants in the valley of East-Mecsek. Since the 19th century the history of the town has been attached to coal mining. The church of the nearby Mánfa was built in the age of the Árpáds in the 12th century. A new sports facility has been built in the town including a 25x11 m swimming pool. In the edge of the town you can find an exclusive pleasure bath and wellness hotel in a valley with special micro-climate. An outstanding programme of the town is the Festival of Children's Choirs held every second year, and the Days of Komlós in the first week of September.
