Village with 1,700 inhabitants on the bank of the Danube in the Börzsöny Mountains. Po<->pular resort and place of excursions. This is the terminus of the narrow-gauge railway leaving for Királyrét and Szokolya in the valley of brook Morgó. The Roman Catholic church was built in neo-Classical style (1827). The centuries old oak trees in the area of the youth camp are called "King Matthias' trees". The monument row of wine cellars on Dózsa György Street was built in the 1830s.
