Village with 3,346 inhabitants at the foot of hill Zengő, in the Mecsek Mountains, accessible from national highway No. 6. The garden of the former Episcopal Palace built in 1797 is now an arboretum under nature protection. The Catholic church (1733-1741) was built in late-Baroque style. A protected plant of the village is the Bánát peony, blossoming in May. Two picturesque settlements, Püspökszentlászló and Kisújbánya, also belong to the administrative district of the village. In Püspökszentlászló the village day and the parish day are both held on the same day at the end of June.
