The village of 915 inhabitants is situated in the south-east border of Tolna-hill, above the Sió, surrounded and protected by watercourses. Archaeologists found that the territory of the village was populated as early as the Bronze age, it was first mentioned in records about 800 years ago. The closeness of the town, the pleasant climate and good transport system make many people to settle down here, visitors are attracted by the fishing competition, the vintage procession or the feast on St. Michael's day.
