Village with 5,200 inhabitants 6 kms from Győr at the meeting of Sokoró hill-country and the Small Plain. Roman Catholic church in Kisbarát (Baroque, 1750); Lutheran church in Nagybarát (late Baroque, 1787). Other sight is the Rákóczi memorial stone, which stands on the site of the elm-tree called Rákóczi tree named after II. Ferenc Rákóczi. A memorial park was established in its environs on the millecentenary of Árpád's conquest of Hungary. The house of regional traditions presenting the folk art and architecture of the village can be found in Erzsébet street. It can be visited all year round. The vicinity is a popular beauty spot with its protected natural values on the hilly parts.
