Large village with 1,328 inhabitants between Zsámbék and Tarján, 22 km to the east of Tatabánya. It is famous for its factory of farinaceous products. The Roman Catholic church was built in the 15th century in Gothic style, it was rebuilt in the 17th century. The parsonage beside it is from 1856. The Calvinist church and the parish are also historic buildings. The one-time Metternich mansion can be found on Petőfi square, it is a colony of artists today. The hunting-seat of Sándor Metternich, the other line of the family, is from 1789, there is a neo-Gothic sepulchral chapel in its park. Gyarmatpuszta which belongs to the village is ideal for hunting.
