Village with 948 inhabitants on the Hungarian side of the borderline, facing Nagyszalonta. Mansion of the Tisza family, built in 1771 in baroque style. Kálmán Tisza (1875-90) and István Tisza (1913-17) were prime ministers of Hungary. Memorial place of János Arany, in commemoration of the years he spent as preceptor with the Tisza family. Reformed church (baroque, 1770).
