The village of 3,050 permanent inhabitants has been an independent settlement for 15 years. It is developing dynamically as the establishment of industrial parks are underway. Programmes include the May festival on 1 May, the cooking competition at Whitsun, which is held in the pub called Jóbarátok (good friends) and the Village Day in the last week of September.
