It is situated 26 km from the county seat, Szekszárd, it is part of the Tolnai-ridge small region. It is an agricultural settlement with 734 inhabitants. The vicinity of Felsőnána was inhabited as early as the stone age. Later it was owned by the Szák clan. In a document from 1271 its parish and its right of holding fairs were also mentioned. The first Székely families settled down here in 1945. As many as 90 people were settled here from Upper Northern Hungary in 1947. The only monument in the village is the Lutheran church built in 1789. |
