Village with 1,550 inhabitants on road No. 24, to the west of Eger. The church of the village was made by mason József Francz at the beginning of the 1700s. Its patron saint is Saint Catherine. The surroundings are very rich in natural beauties. With the licence of the local association of huntsmen there is a possibility of hunting and Bakta Lakes await for anglers. The peat-bog lakes of Egerbakta are nature conservation areas.
