A village of nearly 3.000 inhabitants along main road No. 6. It used to be situated on the bank of the Danube, but by now it has been separated from the river. Vilmos Csapó, the famous commander of the national guard in 1848 was born in the village. For his victory at Ozora, he was given the rank of colonel by Lajos Kossuth. After the defeat in the war of independence he was sentenced to death, but the sentence was changed and he spent 10 years in the prison of Kufstein together with other heroes of the war. The Nuclear Plant of Paks is situated 3 km from the village. In its visit centre an interesting exhibition presents the everyday work of the plant.
