Village with 1,840 inhabitants 10 km north of Mosonmagyaróvár and 8 km southeast of Rajka in the north-western corner of the region called Szigetköz. Significant buildings include the Batthyány mansion with a nice park, Blessed László Batthyány Strattman’s (”the doctor of the poor”) house of birth, Mansion Hotel (Princess Palace Hotel), Németh-villa, Village House, Roman Catholic church in neo-Gothic style, damming plant.
