Village with 1,117 residents in the Danube Bend, 7 km south of Visegrád. It is a beautifully situated village, a royal abode in Age of the Árpáds. South of the village the ruins of the provostal church, founded by Prince Almos and consecrated in 1107 can be seen. The baroque Roman Catholic church was built in 1744. In the House of Culture a museum of regional history can be seen and it accommodates also the Little Gallery with exhibitons of local artists. The village makes an excellent starting point for beautiful tours to Rám-szakadék (abyss) and Prédikálószék (Pulpit), nature conservation areas in the vicinity. |
