Large village with 4,360 residents in the north of county Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, on the left bank of the river Tisza, 17 km west of Kisvárda. Its Protestant church was built in 1790. The Kossuth memorial room, the village museum, the railway museum and the open-air vehicle exhibition are also worth visiting. The bank of the river with many holiday homes is a pleasant bathing place. At the beginning of September the grape-harvest festivity is organised every year.
