in Cserépfalu:   Hotel - Sight - Travel Service - Business Travel

Village with 1,200 inhabitants, 15 km north of Mezőkövesd, on the southern side of the Bükk National Park in the valley of the Hór brook. The settlement is famous for its beautiful carved wooden tools and the nearby Subalyuk cave, which is the oldest inhabited place in Central Europe. A good evidence of this is the finding of prehistoric man which was found here. It is on display in the cultural centre. Popular place of excursions is the ruins of Ódor castle and at its foot the Oszla forester's lodge with the relics of sylviculture of the past centuries.
