Village with 1,822 residents 10 km west of Körmend on national highway No. 8. Market town Nagycsákány and village Rábadoroszló were united under this name in 1939. The former Batthyány mansion was once converted into a significant border fortress and later rebuilt as a mansion in baroque style. The Roman Catholic church with the title of Saint John of Nepomuk was built in 1765 in its present form. The Saint John of Nepomuk patronal festival is held on the Sunday following 15th May. A port for boats and a camping-site are available for the tourists of the river Rába. The local hunting associations offer high quality hunting.
