The small village of 317 inhabitants is situated in the west of Inner-Somogy. Its history dates back to the 1220s. It was first mentioned in records in 1389 as an endowment of Castle Segesd. It had a stormy history, and now its rich past is reflected only by the church rebuilt several times. Recently German and Austrian families have realised the advantages of the village and have bought more than 50 real estates here.
