Village with 1,100 inhabitants 25 kms from Szerencs on the western edge of the Zemplén mountains. The castle of Boldogkő, originally built in the 13th century, was rebuilt in the 15th century. The Catholic church was built in Baroque style in 1768. There is a house of regional trariditions in the village. The park of Tó-hegy volcanic crater is a nature conservation area.
