in Bodony:   Hotel - Sight

The village is situated in the north of the Mátra hills , surrounded by hills, valleys, and forests, along two brooks.
It was first mentioned in records by the chapter inspector of Eger in 1275 under the name Bodon. From Parád you can get to Bodony on an asphalt road. It is a dead-end village. The climate and peace of the village offers excellent recreation.
Sights include the Roman Catholic church - a listed monument - built in the 13th century; the belfry built in the 17th century, the exhibition and weaving house of the Folklore Handcraft Co-operative of county Heves, pottery workshop.
Programmes: patronal feast on St. Michael's day, Folklore and Folk dance Festival.
