Village with 1,366 residents on the road from Gyula to Biharkeresztes, 25 km south of Biharkeresztes. The great author, Pál Szabó (1893-1970) was born here. His Memorial House is open to the public, his ashes are buried in the village cemetery. The baroque Calvinist church was built in 1772. The romantic Bölöny mansion is now used as a school.
