Village with 580 inhabitants 10 km south of Balatonföldvár. It is mentioned both in the deed of endowment of Pannonhalma (1001) and that of Tihany (1055) as an estate of the Abbey. Roman Catholic church was built in 1828-30, Calvinist church in 1836, both in neoclassic style. From among the 271 buildings of the village, permanent inhabitants live only in 201 houses, the other ones used as summer cottages.
