Village with 1,446 residents at the foot of Hill Kőris, 17 kms northwest of Zirc. The village in the heart of the Bakony Mountains is the starting point of several hiking paths in the Gerence valley. The Saint Benedictine Abbey was founded by king Saint Stephen about the year 1018. Actual edifice built in 1724 in Baroque style.
